Dawid Bezuidenhout recently hosted a friendly debating tournament against Ella Du Plessis Secondary school. The motion was: This house believes that road safety in Namibia is not properly managed, got the teams as well as the audience SIZZLING up the floor. It was evident that both teams did their research. Each side could cite with confidence why they believed road safety is or is not properly managed. The increasing number of road accidents seemed to be the core argument for proposition while opposition harped on the role the MVA played, numerous road safety campaigns held and even songs to promote safety on the roads. No matter which arguments were put forward, the speakers proved to be confident, well researched and articulate.

The primary aim was to prepare for the upcoming debates during the course of this year, but it being a friendly, the panel decided to choose only the best speakers from each team.

Third speaker, Shalom Chipepera from Dawid Bezuidenhout representing the proposition and Emarahi Ohrein, third speaker from Ella Du Plessis for the opposition team were the outstanding speakers for the debate.

The Dawid Bezuidenhout Debating Club is currently preparing for the upcoming debating hosted by the local radio station base fm.
