When I heard about Friends with Benefits I was immediately struck by the similarity with the movie No Strings Attached which came out earlier this year starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. Both films tell the story of a people who try to base a relationship on just sex.

I saw both movies and I would have to say surprisingly I thought Friends with Benefits was better. It was very fresh and modern and very funny as well.

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis are great in this film. They are both very humerous and sharp and work really well together. Who would have ever thought that the popstar from NSync would end up to be such a good actor. He was great in the Social Network and in this movie he is really really funny. He really stretches his acting chops in this film as on top of some very funny (and some very sexy) scenes he has some dramatic ones too as his character deals with a father with alzheimers.

One thing I really liked about this movie was that it was very modern and current. Justin's character is involved in internet site management a very modern and 21st century profession. In another scene their is use of and Ipod and an App for it and also this movie has a heavy focus on flashmobs. This modern tweaking to the story I found very smart and kept the film feeling fresh.

Although the film focuses on the idea that you can be Friends with Benefits and not get involved in the drama of a relationship it eventually leads to its predictable end and our 2 main characters fall in love.

Overall I found this film very enjoyable and really enjoyable. I will definitely be making the journey to the cinema again to see future movies with Justin Timberlake or Mila Kunis.
